If you have a HDTV antenna for your TV, do you still need a DTV Converter Box?
Is there a special way to hook it up? I’m about to purchase a new HDTV and get an indoor HDTV antenna. I find it hard to believe I will be able to watch my favorite shows in 5.1 surround with the over-the-air antenna. Or is that just for cable and satellite subscriptions?
I have a vizio HDTV. I also have an HD indoor antenna. My question is do I still need a converter box if my television is HD or just the antenna?
I recently bought a new Samsung LCD TV and would like to know the best way to connect an Over-The-Air antenna to receive my local channels in HD?
Can I use the regular coax cable or do I need to look for an antenna with an alternative connection for the best picture quality?
I want to be able to switch from over the air signals to my satellite without much of a hassle. I also have a Dolby Digital 5.1 receiver. Can I get 5.1 sound over the air with this antenna?
I have an older HDTV-ready TV but its tuner cannot pick up ATSC signals. I will have an outdoor antenna installed to get OTA reception. Standalone HDTV tuners are very expensive but I see a lot of people selling cable HDTV set-top boxes on ebay for 1/3 the price. Will these be able to pull in OTA HDTV signals? I’m in the USA
My mom has about 5 TVs in her house, and one antenna in the attic. I know that she needs one converter box per TV. But how do we connect the converter boxes up to the attic antenna?
(for the TV in my apartment, I simply connected the rabbit ears antenna into the converter box, and the converter box into the TV).
I’m not a very “handy” person, so if the language could be kept simple and a step-by-step answer provided, I would be very grateful!
I have TVMAX as my cable service provider. I get all channels in my HDTV TV but i cannot get the local HD channels. I bought a HDTV antenna and when I hooked it up I was able to get the local HDTV channels over the air but I wanna a way to hook both the antenna and the cable into my tv. (my TV has only one cable outlet)
About to purchase my first HDTV, looking for a decent indoor antenna…live within 13 miles of signal, but my windows face the opposite direction of the signal…will that be an issue? and what antenna would you recommend?
I get good reception of local stations and even some around 75 miles away, I do not need cable, I use an inside antenna.
I just bought a HDTV and want to know what is the best inside antenna to try to get stations that are a little distant. Also, is it best to get an amplified antenna?
