I have a home theater PC and always had it hooked up to my Sony receiver using optical output from the computer. I sold the receiver and am not sure now how to get sound from the computer to the TV. Can I use the spdif plug from the computer and use an adapter with RCA plugs for the TV?
I’m trying to hook up my laptop to my HDTV but I see I don’t have a HDMI component or DVI. What can I buy to still have my laptop show up on my TV?
I currently only have a DVI cable, which doesn’t allow me to hear audio through my TV. Do I need a DVI to HDMI to see true HD images?
I’m trying to hook my computer up to my element FLX-1910 hdtv. It has a standard computer video input (VGA), but when I connect it, the signal is not recognized by the tv. I searched for monitor drivers, like you would for a regular plug and play monitor, but was unable to find anything. Is there some setting I need to change in my computer?
I want to use my Panasonic LCD HDTV as a computer monitor. My computer only has a VGA input. My Panasonic LCD HDTV has these types of connectors:
2 HDMI Inputs
2 S-Video Inputs
3 Sets of A/V inputs
1 Set of 3 Composite Video inputs
I want to know which type of cable can be used to connect my LCD HDTV to my computer. You can also mention cable strategies such as :
VGA to DVI to HDMI
I also want to know if I can buy these types of cables at a store (CircuitCity, WalMart, RadioShack, etc…). Please don’t mention anything about Video Cards.

I have a computer that’s about seven-eight years old and I was wondering the price and what cables I’d need to view my computer on my tv. I know my tv can do this for sure but I’m not sure about my computer.
I’m planning to buy a 32 inch 720p tv and use it as a tv and a computer moniter. If I use the tv as a moniter with regularly (sit at a desk with the tv in front of me) will it ruin my eyes any more then using a moniter?
My wife wants to watch movies from my computer on our new TV. But we did not get a TV with wireless capabilies. How does one work it out without a wired connection from TV to PC. Is this even possible? Wired or Wireless? We have wireless network setup in our house already.
Also, if that is possible how can i transfer that data from my tv to my computer to another computer over the internet?
