The signal from the HD cable box seems to be jammed/scrambled/distorted every once in a while when a certain type of commercial or a computer graphic is shown. I’ve checked the component cable and it’s not the problem. The TV is a Philips 4″ plasma and the tv receiver is a Philips FTR 9965.

If i downgrade our cable, and remove the box and go with expanded basic cable..will my HDTV pick up HD channels?
I have a home theater PC and always had it hooked up to my Sony receiver using optical output from the computer. I sold the receiver and am not sure now how to get sound from the computer to the TV. Can I use the spdif plug from the computer and use an adapter with RCA plugs for the TV?

Which means, we will need to set up our HDTV box to our video mechine, then have it feed through to the viewing screen. So far, I haven’t really figured out how to do this, and I’m really hoping to hear from someone who might have tried this themsevles and found out the right way to do this. Any help?
